“My process begins with an initial emotional connection with a subject. I study how best to technically get this reaction on the canvas. And then use brushes and colors to convey my individual expression. It is a joyful challenge to hone an evolving, experimental, technical process that honors my reactions to the world around me.” — Susan Overstreet
