Graphite paper transfer of drawing onto a prepared panel
Artist Paul Baldassini demonstrates how to transfer the drawing from the source image on the prepared panel. The source image was created from the working color file in Adobe Photoshop using Calculations and Curves to produce an acceptable grayscale image. A high-resolution file is then created and output onto heavyweight Polyflex paper at my local Staples. This is then trimmed and placed on top of a sheet of Saral Graphite Transfer Paper which is attached to a prepared panel forming a working “sandwich”. The drawing is then transferred using a Pentel RSVP red ball point pen. -

Adding white highlights to completed oil painting
Artist Paul Baldassini demonstrates adding white highlights: "While “isolated” in my studio my daughter and I have made our first artist at work video together. I’m very new to making videos, but it’s great fun and developing a new skill set for promotion and learning is a good thing, I think. I plan on making many more as a teaching and learning tool to share so others may increase their knowledge and awareness of the artist’s craft. Hope you like it."
Thank you. - P
